Meeting Information

Our meetings are held at:  Derby Recreation Commission

                    801 E. Market 

                        Derby  KS 67037

Enter through the east doors.  The meeting room is the second door on the right.

Meetings start at 4 p.m.

We meet the second Sunday of each month.  Visitors are always welcome.  You may visit three times before membership is required.

Please note:  membership in the national organization

Romance Writers of America® is required if you decide to join .

What do we do at our meeting?

We take of business, share our writing goals and victories, enjoy programs given by guest speakers or WARA members and relish getting together with others who understand the writing bug. After the meetings members gather for critique sessions or writing exercises.

Directions to the meeting location:

• Use K15 (Southeast Blvd) or Rock Road to reach Derby. 
  

• Once in Derby look for Madison Avenue, a main street running east/west. From K15 make a left turn.  On Rock Road (going south) turn right.
  

• Continue on Madison until you reach Woodlawn Blvd, a north/ south street.  The intersection has a signal light and schools on the south side.
  

• Turn south (right if you came from K15; left if you came from Rock RD)
  

• Go 1 block.
  

• The Derby Recreation Commission building and parking lot is on the southeast corner of Woodlawn Blvd and Market.
  

• Turn left into the parking lot.
